The NOP on Research and Innovation 2014-2020 promotes innovative measures and actions related to the thematic priorities identified in the National Research Programme 2015-2020 (NRP) and to the strategic lines of actions identified in the National Smart Specialization Strategy (NSSS).

The NOP is structured around five Priority Axes:
