The Communication Strategy has the following objectives:

  1. increase knowledge, awareness, cooperation of stakeholders and citizen participation by providing data and information through the NOP on Research and Innovation 2014-2020 website as the main communication tool; 
  2. ensure maximum media coverage to inform citizens about the results of the operations financed by EU funds, the results and impact of the Partnership Agreement and the Programme, developing initiatives to involve local communities and creating content that is understandable to all end users;
  3. effectively inform potential beneficiaries and all stakeholders about the Programme strategy and the funding opportunities available, in particular at local level, including through the media (national and/or local press);
  4. contribute to strengthening the information and communication partnership by taking part in the activities of national and transnational EU fund communication networks.

The communication measures adopted comply with the requirements laid down in Regulation (EU) No. 1303/2013 (Articles 115-117 and Annex XII), Regulation (EU) No. 821/2014 (Articles 3, 4 and 5 and Annex II) and Regulation (EU) No. 1046/2018 defining certain operational aspects and technical characteristics of information and communication measures, in particular, providing guidelines on the use of the EU emblem and standard colours and the display of plaques and billboards.
