Target Argo

ITA | ENG

Project

Target Argo aims to develop and produce a rapid prototyping (RP) plant with technical features that can be used for additive manufacturing activities (production of 3D printers), therefore for the production of simple or complex products, and not only for prototypes. One of the competitive advantages lies in the possibility of using advanced and high-quality fibre-reinforced materials, such as carbon and Kevlar.

Financial Resources
The project received 3.000.000 euro from the NOP Research and Innovation 2014-2020 under the action “Thematic Projects” through the Fund of Funds for Research and Innovation managed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and designed to increase investment in research and development. The EU resources available to the Fund of Funds are invested through one or more financial intermediaries and may take the form of loans, equity or quasi-equity, or equivalent instruments. Specifically, this project received risk finance investments in the form of equity.

Impact on the Territory
The project is characterized by strong innovation that will result in a progression up the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) scale from TRL5 to TRL8. This will allow Roboze, the beneficiary of the funding, to develop and complete its line of 3D printers and enter the most promising and competitive international markets, starting from the United States. Through its 2018 to 2022 business plan, Roboze plans to increase its staff from its current number of 18 to over 100 employees.
